Northbeam is built for brands spending heavily on ads, so most people searching for an alternative want the same answers for less. It combines multi-touch attribution with media mix modelling and incrementality testing, and its Starter plan is listed at $1,500, priced by pageviews (pricing). If you spend six figures a month on ads and have someone to act on the models, that can be money well spent. Below that, cheaper tools answer "which channels and campaigns are paying off" just as usefully.

Here are seven alternatives, what they cost, and the kind of brand each suits. Prism is our product, so it gets the same treatment as the rest, catch included.

Why brands look for a Northbeam alternative

  • Price. Starter is listed at $1,500 and Professional at $3,500 a month on annual terms; every plan says "contact us for a quote".
  • Commitment. Higher plans run on annual contracts, and there's no free trial on the pricing page.
  • Model complexity. MMM and incrementality need enough spend and enough channels to be reliable. A brand on Meta and Google with a modest budget gets most of the value from order-level attribution.

Prices are monthly, in US dollars, from each vendor's pricing page or Shopify App Store listing on 3 November 2026, except where marked. Triple Whale and Polar figures assume a $60 average order and come from third-party checks linked in our comparisons. Rockerbox and Hyros don't publish prices.

1. Triple Whale

The most common switch from Northbeam. Dashboards, its own pixel, multi-touch attribution, creative analytics and AI agents, with a newer MMM product.

Price: a free plan with first and last click; paid plans by annual GMV on 12-month terms, about $429 a month at $720,000 a year and about $1,129 at $7.2 million (pricing; bands as reported by Venon). Best for: Shopify brands that want one dashboard for everything. The catch: annual commitment, and the price climbs with GMV. Comparison: Prism vs Triple Whale, or see Triple Whale alternatives.

2. Polar Analytics

A data platform: warehouse, dashboards, multi-touch attribution with its own pixel, and incrementality tests.

Price: from about $749 a month on its Shopify listing, priced by GMV and quoted on a call. Best for: brands with an analyst who will use SQL and custom reports. The catch: you're paying for a platform. Comparison: Prism vs Polar Analytics, or see Polar Analytics alternatives.

3. Rockerbox

Multi-touch attribution and MMM for brands with lots of channels, including offline ones like TV, direct mail and podcasts.

Price: not published on its site; CostBench reports a starting price around $200 per user a month, which we couldn't confirm with Rockerbox. Best for: omnichannel brands where non-click channels matter. The catch: opaque pricing and a sales-led setup.

4. Wicked Reports

Attribution built around long buying cycles: lifetime lookback, cohort and LTV reports, and CRM integrations.

Price: Measure $499 a month up to $2.5 million annual revenue, Scale $699, Maximize $999; Meta CAPI and AI features are $199 add-ons on the lower plans (pricing). Best for: subscription brands and anyone whose customers take weeks to buy. The catch: no trial listed on its pricing page, and add-ons push the price up.

5. ThoughtMetric

Multi-touch attribution plus post-purchase surveys, with every feature on every plan.

Price: $99 a month for 50,000 pageviews, up to $399 for 300,000 (App Store); annual billing saves about two months. Best for: smaller brands that want MTA and survey data without add-ons. The catch: pageview pricing rises with traffic, not sales, so a content-heavy site pays more.

6. Hyros

Ad tracking and attribution with a strong following among info-product, coaching and high-ticket sellers.

Price: not published; CostBench puts the median reported contract at about $25,000 a year, from a handful of buyer reports. Best for: funnels with calls and long sales cycles more than Shopify stores. The catch: less Shopify-specific than the others.

7. Prism

Prism is an attribution app for Shopify. It reads every order, matches it to the ad clicks and visits before it, and shows revenue, spend and ROAS by channel, campaign and ad across six attribution models, with up to three custom ones. It also sends purchases the browser pixel missed to Meta and Google Ads from the server.

Price: $29 a month for up to 1,000 orders, $99 for 5,000, $199 for 10,000, month to month, with a 14-day free trial (pricing). Best for: Shopify brands spending under about $100,000 a month on ads, mostly on Meta and Google. It also handles cash on delivery and one-click checkouts such as GoKwik. The catch: no media mix modelling or incrementality testing. If you need those, Northbeam, Triple Whale or Rockerbox fit better. Comparison: Prism vs Northbeam.

How to choose

  1. Six-figure monthly ad spend, many channels, a team to run tests: stay on Northbeam, or compare Rockerbox.
  2. You want one dashboard for everything: Triple Whale or Polar.
  3. Long buying cycles or subscriptions: Wicked Reports.
  4. You want order-level multi-touch attribution on Shopify, priced by orders: Prism. ThoughtMetric if you also want surveys.

Quick answers

What is the cheapest Northbeam alternative? Triple Whale's free plan covers first and last click. For multi-touch attribution with spend and ROAS, Prism starts at $29 a month and ThoughtMetric at $99.

Is Triple Whale better than Northbeam? For most Shopify brands under eight figures, Triple Whale costs less and needs less setup. Northbeam's models are the reason to pay more at high spend.

Do I need media mix modelling? Only with enough spend across enough channels for the model to separate them. For a brand mostly on Meta and Google, order-level attribution answers the day-to-day questions.
