Polar Analytics alternative for Shopify: Prism vs Polar on price at 1k, 5k and 10k orders, attribution, profit reporting, and when Polar is worth it.
Sailesh B · Updated · Polar Analytics prices checked
Prism is a Polar Analytics alternative for Shopify brands that want order-based multi-touch attribution and a profit view without a data-platform price. Polar's Core plan starts at about $749 a month on its Shopify listing and is priced by your annual online GMV. Prism starts at $29 a month for up to 1,000 orders, billed month to month, with a 14-day free trial you set up yourself.
Polar is the closest like-for-like of the big tools: attribution, profit reporting and server-side sending, plus a full data warehouse, dozens of connectors, incrementality testing and a success manager on every plan. If you want one place for all your store's data and have someone to use it, Polar is strong. If you mainly want to know which channels earned your orders, Prism covers that for much less.
Price at 1,000, 5,000 and 10,000 orders a month
Polar prices by annual online GMV. Its pricing page has a GMV calculator but no public price list, so the figures below are its Shopify listing and third-party checks. The table assumes a $60 average order.
| Orders a month | Annual GMV at $60 AOV | Prism | Polar Core |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1,000 | ~$720k | $29/mo | ~$749/mo |
| 5,000 | ~$3.6M | $99/mo | ~$750/mo |
| 10,000 | ~$7.2M | $199/mo | ~$1,020/mo or more |
The starting price is from Polar's Shopify App Store listing, which also notes some charges are billed outside Shopify. The 5,000-order figure is from EightX's check of Polar's calculator. The 10,000-order figure is from Conjura's 2025 snapshot, which lists $1,020 a month at $5M to $7M GMV and $1,660 at $10M to $15M, and may have changed. Ask Polar for a quote.
Prism: $29 up to 1,000 orders, $99 up to 5,000, $199 up to 10,000. Pricing section.

Where Polar is better
- A real data platform. Every plan includes a dedicated Snowflake database and 40+ connectors, so you can join ad, store, email and finance data and query it with SQL.
- Incrementality testing. Geo-lift tests, run with Polar's data team, show whether a channel actually adds sales (Polar).
- More attribution models and BI depth. Ten-plus attribution models, plus custom metrics and reports built on its warehouse.
- Hands-on support. A customer success manager and a shared Slack channel on every plan.
- AI agents and an MCP server, so you can ask questions of your data from an AI assistant.
Where Prism is better
- Price. At 1,000 orders a month, Prism is $29 against roughly $749.
- Try it on your own store first. A 14-day free trial, set up from the Shopify App Store without a sales call.
- Price follows orders, not revenue. A price rise or bigger bundles don't push you into a higher tier.
- Cash on delivery and one-click checkouts. Pending COD orders count until they're cancelled, and attribution keeps working on GoKwik checkouts.
Which should you pick?
- Over $5M a year with an analyst who will use a warehouse and SQL: Polar.
- You want to test whether a channel is incremental, not just attribute it: Polar.
- Under $1M a year, or you want to see your numbers today without a demo: Prism.
- Selling with cash on delivery in India or Southeast Asia: Prism.
Switching from Polar
Install Prism from the Shopify App Store and connect your ad accounts. It imports your past orders and ad spend and starts recording visitor journeys from the day you install, so run both for a couple of weeks before cancelling. If Polar sends conversions to Meta or Google for you, turn on Prism's Conversion Recovery before switching that off, and make sure the two aren't both sending the same purchases. Export anything you want to keep from Polar's warehouse before you cancel.
