Triple Whale does a lot, so the best alternative depends on which part of it you'd miss. It bundles a pixel, multi-touch attribution, profit dashboards, creative analytics, AI agents, server-side event sending and, as an add-on, media mix modelling. Most brands that leave keep using one or two of those and want them cheaper, simpler or without a 12-month contract.

Below are eight alternatives, what they cost at 1,000, 5,000 and 10,000 orders a month, and who each one suits. Prism is our product, so we've said plainly where the others fit better, including where Triple Whale is still the right call.

Why brands look for a Triple Whale alternative

  • GMV pricing. Paid plans are priced by annual GMV, not orders, so raising prices or selling bigger bundles raises the bill. At $720,000 a year, Foundation is about $429 a month; at $7.2 million, about $1,129 (bands as reported by Venon). Triple Whale doesn't list dollar prices on its pricing page.
  • Annual contracts. Paid plans are 12-month subscriptions.
  • More than they use. AI agents, creative analytics and a SQL editor are useful with a team to run them. A small brand often only needs attribution and profit.
  • The free plan stops at first and last click. It includes the pixel and a survey; multi-touch models need a paid plan.

Prices are monthly, in US dollars, from each vendor's pricing page or Shopify App Store listing on 3 November 2026. GMV- and revenue-priced tools assume a $60 average order; Triple Whale bands are Venon's July 2026 snapshot and Polar figures come from third-party checks, linked in our Triple Whale and Polar comparisons. Some listings show local currency, which we converted at the listing's own rate. Ask each vendor for a quote.

For attribution

1. Polar Analytics

Triple Whale's closest like-for-like rival: a warehouse, dashboards, multi-touch attribution with its own pixel, incrementality tests and AI.

Price: from about $749 a month on its Shopify listing, priced by GMV and quoted on a call. Best for: brands with an analyst who wants SQL and custom reports. The catch: usually more expensive than Triple Whale at low GMV. More: Polar Analytics alternatives.

2. Northbeam

Multi-touch attribution plus media mix modelling and incrementality, built for large ad budgets.

Price: Starter is listed at $1,500, priced by pageviews; Professional $3,500 a month on annual terms (pricing). Best for: brands spending well into six figures a month on ads. The catch: a step up in price, not down. More: Northbeam alternatives.

3. ThoughtMetric

Multi-touch attribution and post-purchase surveys, with every feature on every plan.

Price: $99 a month for 50,000 pageviews up to $399 for 300,000 (App Store). Best for: smaller brands that want attribution plus "how did you hear about us" data at a flat price. The catch: pageview pricing follows traffic, not sales.

4. Wicked Reports

Attribution for long buying cycles: lifetime lookback, cohort and LTV reports, CRM integrations.

Price: Measure $499 a month up to $2.5 million annual revenue, Scale $699, Maximize $999 (pricing). Best for: subscription brands and slow-to-buy products. The catch: Meta CAPI and AI features are $199 add-ons on the lower plans.

5. Prism

Prism is an attribution app for Shopify. It reads every order, matches it to the ad clicks and visits before it, and shows revenue, spend and ROAS by channel, campaign and ad. Six attribution models on every plan, plus up to three custom ones with your own channel weights. It also sends purchases the browser pixel missed to Meta and Google Ads from the server, and has a separate store-wide P&L view.

Price: $29 a month for up to 1,000 orders, $99 for 5,000, $199 for 10,000, month to month, with a 14-day free trial (pricing). Best for: brands that mainly used Triple Whale for attribution and ROAS and want order-based pricing with no contract. Pending cash-on-delivery orders count until they're cancelled, and attribution keeps working on one-click checkouts such as GoKwik. The catch: no free plan, no AI agents, creative analytics or media mix modelling, and fewer ad platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok and Microsoft Ads). Comparison: Prism vs Triple Whale.

For profit and customer value

6. Lifetimely

A daily P&L, LTV by cohort, CAC payback and retention reports.

Price: a free plan; paid about $49 a month to 500 orders, $149 to 3,000, $299 to 7,000 (App Store). Best for: brands that used Triple Whale's profit dashboard most. The catch: attribution isn't its focus.

7. TrueProfit

A net-profit dashboard with costs, fees and ad spend from six ad platforms.

Price: about $35 a month for 300 orders to about $200 for 3,500, then $0.07 an order, capped at $1,000 of overage (App Store). Best for: small stores that want profit numbers cheaply. The catch: attribution is on the top plan only.

8. Shopify's own analytics

Shopify's marketing reports attribute your real orders using last non-direct click by default, with first, last, linear and any-click models available (Shopify Help).

Best for: stores with one or two channels and tidy UTM tags. The catch: mostly UTMs and referrers, so untagged clicks show as direct, and spend and ROAS only appear for channels whose app reports cost to Shopify.

How to choose

  1. You want everything in one place and will use the AI tools: stay on Triple Whale, or compare Polar.
  2. Six-figure monthly ad spend and you need MMM: Northbeam, or Triple Whale with its MMM add-on.
  3. You mainly need multi-touch attribution with spend and ROAS: Prism (priced by orders) or ThoughtMetric (by pageviews).
  4. Profit and LTV are the main questions: Lifetimely or TrueProfit. Pair one with an attribution app if you need both.
  5. Long buying cycles: Wicked Reports.

Switching without losing history

Install the new tool before your Triple Whale renewal and run both for two to four weeks; tools that build journeys from their own pixel only see visits from the day they're installed. Check that the new tool's attributed orders add up to Shopify's order count for the same dates. If Triple Whale's Sonar sends events to Meta or Google for you, turn the replacement's sending on before switching Sonar off, so the platforms don't get the same purchase twice.

Quick answers

What is the cheapest Triple Whale alternative? Shopify's own reports are free. For multi-touch attribution with spend and ROAS, Prism starts at $29 a month and ThoughtMetric at $99.

Is Polar Analytics better than Triple Whale? They overlap heavily. Polar leans towards a data warehouse and custom reporting; Triple Whale towards dashboards and AI agents. Compare quotes at your GMV.

Is Triple Whale worth it for a small store? The free plan is worth trying. For paid features under about $1 million a year in sales, an order-priced attribution app usually costs a fraction as much.

Can I cancel Triple Whale any time? Paid plans are 12-month subscriptions, so check your renewal date before switching.
