Polar Analytics is a data platform for Shopify brands, so the right alternative depends on which part of it you use. Polar pulls Shopify, ad, email and other data into one warehouse with dashboards, multi-touch attribution, a custom pixel and AI agents. Most smaller brands use one slice of that: profit, attribution or retention. Each slice has a cheaper tool.

Below, seven tools that each cover one of those slices, with prices at 1,000, 5,000 and 10,000 orders a month. One is Prism, our own product; where another tool fits better, we say so.

Why brands look for a Polar Analytics alternative

  • Price. Polar's Core plan starts at about $749 a month on its Shopify listing and is priced by annual online GMV. There's no public price list; you get a quote on a call.
  • More platform than they use. A warehouse, SQL access and custom reports are worth it with an analyst on the team. Without one, most of it goes unused.
  • They want one answer quickly. "Am I profitable?" or "which ads pay off?" can be answered by a focused app you set up yourself in an afternoon.

Prices are monthly, in US dollars, from each vendor's pricing page or Shopify App Store listing on 3 November 2026. Several listings show prices in local currency, which we converted at the listing's own rate. GMV-priced tools assume a $60 average order; Polar's figures come from its listing and third-party checks we link in Prism vs Polar Analytics. Ask each vendor for a quote.

1. Shopify's own analytics (free)

Shopify's reports cover sales, sessions, conversion and marketing attribution on your real orders, using last non-direct click by default with first, last, linear and any-click models available (Shopify Help).

Best for: stores under about $1M a year with tidy UTM tags. The catch: no profit view with your costs, and spend and ROAS only appear for channels whose app reports cost to Shopify.

2. Triple Whale

Polar's closest rival: dashboards, a custom pixel, multi-touch attribution, creative analytics and AI agents in one product.

Price: a free plan with first and last click; paid plans are priced by annual GMV on 12-month terms, about $429 a month for Foundation at 1,000 orders, rising with GMV (pricing; bands as reported by Venon). Best for: brands that want an all-in-one dashboard and will use the AI and creative tools. The catch: the annual commitment, and GMV pricing that rises with your prices. Comparison: Prism vs Triple Whale, or see Triple Whale alternatives.

3. Lifetimely

Profit and lifetime-value analytics: a daily P&L, LTV by cohort, CAC payback and retention reports.

Price: a free plan; paid plans about $49 a month to 500 orders, $149 to 3,000 and $299 to 7,000 (App Store). Amazon data is $75 extra. Best for: brands whose main question is margin and customer value. The catch: attribution is listed as a feature but isn't its focus.

4. TrueProfit

A net-profit dashboard that pulls in costs, shipping, fees and ad spend from six ad platforms.

Price: about $35 a month for 300 orders up to about $200 for 3,500, then $0.07 an order, capped at $1,000 of overage (App Store). Marketing attribution is on the top plan only. Best for: small stores that want profit numbers cheaply. The catch: usage pricing adds up at 10,000 orders, and attribution sits on the highest plan.

5. Peel

Retention analytics: cohorts, repurchase rate, subscription metrics, RFM segments you can push to Klaviyo and Meta.

Price: Core about $199 a month to 6,000 orders, Essentials about $499 to 16,000 (App Store). Best for: subscription and repeat-purchase brands. The catch: it isn't an attribution or ad-spend tool.

6. Northbeam

Multi-touch attribution plus media mix modelling and incrementality, built for big ad budgets.

Price: Starter is listed at $1,500, priced by pageviews; Professional $3,500 a month on annual terms (pricing). Best for: brands spending well into six figures a month on ads, with a team to act on the models. The catch: usually more expensive than Polar, not less. Comparison: Prism vs Northbeam.

7. Prism

Prism is an attribution app for Shopify. It reads every order, matches it to the ad clicks and visits before it, and shows revenue, spend and ROAS by channel, campaign and ad across six attribution models. It also sends purchases the browser pixel missed to Meta and Google Ads from the server, and has a separate store-wide P&L view.

Price: $29 a month for up to 1,000 orders, $99 for 5,000, $199 for 10,000, month to month, with a 14-day free trial you set up yourself (pricing). Best for: brands that used Polar mainly for attribution and want it at an order-based price. It also handles cash on delivery and one-click checkouts such as GoKwik. The catch: no data warehouse, SQL access or custom BI. If your analyst builds reports from raw data, Polar fits better. Comparison: Prism vs Polar Analytics.

How to choose

  1. "Which ads and channels are paying off?" Prism, or Triple Whale if you want the all-in-one dashboard and can commit for a year.
  2. "Am I profitable, and what's a customer worth?" Lifetimely or TrueProfit.
  3. "Why aren't customers coming back?" Peel.
  4. "We spend heavily and need MMM and incrementality": Northbeam.
  5. "We want our own warehouse and custom reports": stay on Polar, or look at a BI tool your analyst already knows.

Quick answers

What is the cheapest Polar Analytics alternative? Shopify's own reports are free. For attribution with spend and ROAS, Prism starts at $29 a month; for profit, Lifetimely has a free plan.

Is Triple Whale cheaper than Polar? Often, at lower GMV, but both price by GMV and quote on a call, so compare quotes at your own revenue.

Does Polar Analytics do attribution? Yes, multi-touch with its own pixel. That's the part Prism replaces at a lower price.

Can I replace Polar with two cheaper apps? Many small brands do: an attribution app plus a profit app often costs less than one data platform. Check that they agree on order counts for the same dates.
