Most stores look for a Littledata alternative because of price, and the cheapest option may already be installed. Littledata is a server-side data layer: it sends your Shopify orders and events to GA4, Meta, Google Ads, Klaviyo and others so their reports are more complete. Since July 2026, Shopify's free Google & YouTube app sends purchases to GA4 from the server too, which covers the job many stores bought Littledata for.

We compared seven options on what they do, what they cost at 1,000, 5,000 and 10,000 orders a month, and which store each suits. Prism is one of them and it's ours, so its limits are listed as plainly as everyone else's.

Why stores look for a Littledata alternative

  • Per-order pricing. Scale is $199 a month for 1,500 orders, then $0.15 an order up to 3,000 and $0.06 after that. At 5,000 orders that comes to about $544 a month, and Plus is $990 at 10,000 (pricing). Seasonal peaks push the bill up exactly when margins are tight.
  • Shopify now does part of the job for free. GA4 purchase events from the Google & YouTube app are server-side and deduplicated by transaction ID (Analyzify's summary). Other GA4 events still come from the browser.
  • It doesn't do attribution. Littledata makes GA4 and the ad platforms more accurate. Each of them still credits itself, so it won't tell you which channel or campaign earned an order.

Prices are monthly, in US dollars unless marked, taken from each vendor's pricing page or Shopify App Store listing on 3 November 2026. Littledata's annual billing takes 20% off. Several tools price by revenue or requests rather than orders, so your number may differ.

1. Shopify's own Google and Meta apps (free)

The Google & YouTube app now sends purchases to GA4 server-side, with no setup if the app is already connected. In the Facebook & Instagram app, setting customer data sharing to Maximum turns on Meta's Conversions API (Shopify Help).

Best for: stores whose main worry was GA4 missing purchases. The catch: only the purchase event is server-side; add-to-cart and checkout events still depend on the browser. There's no Klaviyo, TikTok or Pinterest routing, and little you can inspect when numbers look off.

2. Elevar

Elevar is the other big server-side tracking app for Shopify, built on Google Tag Manager. It sends to GA4, Meta, Google Ads, Klaviyo, Snapchat, affiliates and more, with consent-tool integrations and event-accuracy monitoring.

Price: Core is $225 a month for 2,000 orders and two destinations; Advanced $650 for 10,000 and four; extra destinations $125 each (pricing). Elevar is now sold under the Audiense name. Best for: teams comfortable in Tag Manager who want the most control. The catch: it's a little above Littledata at 1,000 orders, and each destination past two adds $125. We compared it in 7 Elevar alternatives.

3. Analyzify

Analyzify sets up GA4, Google Ads, Meta, TikTok and other pixels with server-side tracking, done for you, and adds GA4-based reports.

Price: Standard is $145 a month (or $109 billed yearly) for up to 5,000 orders, about $175 for 10,000; Plus from $275 adds channel-level attribution reports. Monthly plans carry a $295 setup fee (pricing). Best for: GA4-first stores that want a setup done properly, for a flat price below Littledata's at every volume in the table, plus a $295 setup fee on monthly billing. The catch: no free trial.

4. TrackBee

A Shopify-first server-side app covering Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Pinterest, Microsoft Ads, GA4, Klaviyo and more on every plan, with no Tag Manager.

Price: by tracked revenue: €79 a month to €25,000, €199 to €100,000, €449 to €500,000, excluding VAT (pricing). Best for: lower-order-value stores that run ads on many platforms. The catch: revenue-based pricing rises with your prices and promotions.

5. Stape

Stape hosts server-side Google Tag Manager containers and has a Shopify app to feed them.

Price: free to 10,000 requests a month, Pro $20 for 500,000, Business $100 for 5 million (pricing). Best for: agencies and teams who'd rather build the setup themselves. The catch: you're paying for hosting; the build and upkeep are on you.

6. Aimerce

Aimerce sends server-side events to ad platforms and focuses on recognising returning visitors so more Klaviyo flows fire.

Price: Essential $299 a month for 1,000 orders, Growth $499 for 10,000 (pricing). Best for: stores that used Littledata mainly for Klaviyo and want more abandoned-cart and browse flows. The catch: the most expensive option here at 1,000 orders. Comparison: Prism vs Aimerce.

7. Prism

Prism is an attribution app that also sends missed purchases to Meta and Google Ads from the server. It reads every Shopify order, matches it to the ad clicks and visits before it, and shows revenue, spend and ROAS by channel, campaign and ad, so each order is credited once instead of once per platform.

Price: $29 a month for up to 1,000 orders, $99 for 5,000, $199 for 10,000, with Conversion Recovery to Meta and Google on every plan and a 14-day free trial (pricing). Best for: stores that bought Littledata hoping to see which ads pay off. Pair it with Shopify's free Google app for GA4. It also handles cash on delivery and one-click checkouts such as GoKwik. The catch: Prism doesn't send to GA4, Klaviyo, TikTok or Pinterest. Comparison: Prism vs Littledata.

How to choose

  1. GA4 purchases were the main problem: turn on Shopify's Google & YouTube app first and check for a few weeks before paying for anything.
  2. You need GA4 funnel events, Klaviyo and several ad platforms, managed for you: Analyzify or TrackBee. Elevar if you want Tag Manager control.
  3. You have Tag Manager skills: Stape.
  4. You want to know which channels and campaigns earn your sales: that's attribution. Prism, or see which attribution tools match Shopify orders to ads.

Switching without double counting

Turn on the new tool's destinations before removing Littledata, and confirm events arriving in GA4 DebugView, Meta Events Manager and Google Ads. If Shopify's Google app is already sending GA4 purchases, don't add a second tool that sends them too, or GA4 may count some twice. Remove Littledata's script last.

Quick answers

What is the cheapest Littledata alternative? Shopify's own Google & YouTube app, which now sends GA4 purchases server-side for free. For paid tools, Stape if you can build it, Prism if you also want attribution.

Do I still need Littledata now that Shopify sends GA4 purchases server-side? Maybe not. Littledata still covers more: non-purchase events, subscriptions, Klaviyo and several ad platforms.

Does Littledata do attribution? No. It improves the data other tools receive; they do the attribution.

Is Littledata cheaper than Elevar? At 1,000 orders, slightly ($199 against $225). At 5,000 orders they're close; at 10,000 Elevar's Advanced plan ($650) is cheaper than Littledata Plus ($990).
